Rhiannon Ng
Bio:
I grew up just outside of Ottawa in Chelsea, Quebec and completed my bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and Sociology at Queen's University. During this time, I became interested in environmental health and the effects of environmental contaminants on food security in rural communities. I love teaching science literacy and communication to children and have also become interested in the ways in which science research conducted by young students - specifically around community challenges - can be translated into local action. I was very excited to learn about Dr. Chan's research and its integration of toxicological research with knowledge translation and community-based participation!
Research Project:
Piloting community-based data collection methodologies for remote collaborative environmental research.
