Bio:
I grew up in Inukjuak, Nunavik which has given me the immense privilege of experiencing Inuit culture and becoming a part of the community. I have a passion for Indigenous rights and the relationship between traditional knowledge and science. Along with these values, my undergraduate degree has given me the chance explore my passion for conservation and environmental health from a more scientific perspective. I am thrilled to be joining Dr. Chan’s lab as it will allow me to combine these passions and research the intersection between indigenous health and wildlife conservation. After Dr. Chan took me on as an honours student he introduced me to two co-supervisors, Dr. Lemire and Dr. Kenny from Université Laval, who I will be working with to assist in a research project concerning hatcheries and food security in Nunavik.
